3 Things: 3 Personal Finance Beliefs I Used To Have
These are my three personal finance beliefs I used to have.
THEN: Leave your financial decisions up to your Financial Advisor.
NOW: Participate actively in planning your future. Take control. I now do a Solo 401k where I can direct the funds. I also seek knowledge outside of what is typically handled by a financial advisor like whole life insurance policies and private placement of equity.
THEN: Don’t spend money on things like Starbucks or Dinner’s out.
NOW: I value the occasional trip to Starbucks and my wife and I love dining out, its one of our only reprieves from the chaotic family life. These are expenses that you wouldn’t want to get out of control but you gotta live!
THEN: All debt is bad.
NOW: Debt that cash flows can be very good.
